The questions that are being asked here can be about pretty much anything and everything. Quora are also being used by online marketers to help them generate free traffic to their búsiness. How>? By consistently answering questions, but only questions that involves their niche and line of work. That is what you also need to do in order to benefit from the free traffic from this popular website.
You need to answer several questions more or less everyday and give good answers as possible. Never give a short answer. If you do not know everything about a question then Google it and put the facts that you discover into your own words. Make sure to set up your profile properly. Add an interesting description about what you have to offer people and add a url adress to a capture page. This way you can build your list for free with this free traffic. You can motivate the readers from time to time to visit your profile to learn more about marketing for instance, but do not do it in every answer that you give.

You can use pretty much the same strategy that I just now mentioned at answer.com. The only downside to this site is that you can not ad a whole url to your capture page to build your list with this website. But in your answers you can put in some space in the url to your capture page and ask the readeers to remove the space in the url and paste it into the url adress bar. Do not put in a link in every answer that you give but you can do it from time to time.
Reditt
Sign up for a free account at Reditt and join discussion groups regarding topics that you are interested in. Do not pitch people but be helpfuil when people have issues with different things within for instance with marketing online. Be consistent and keep being helpful and you may soon generate some of that free traffic.
